About the role
Our web applications provide Nordic customers with a modern self-service experience for managing insurance, claims, and payments. Focused on Norway but serving all Nordic countries, our agile development team continuously enhances self-service features and creates APIs for services like mobile apps.
The team is cross-functional, collaborative and spread across Turku, Espoo, Riga, and Stockholm. We’re part of the Oasis tribe, united in supporting our customers and ensuring they stay well-informed and correctly insured. Though distributed, the team meets in person occasionally and benefits from a strong agile culture across the company.
Beyond your immediate team, you’ll join a developer community with colleagues in Espoo, Turku, and Riga—offering both professional support and a fun office atmosphere.
What are you going to do?
- Build web solutions and APIs with Azure hosted services and utilize your expertise with C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC and Web APIs. On the front-end side teams main set of technologies are JavaScript, React and Razor.
- Test automation and continuous integration will be a natural part of your workflow.
- Use your technical and domain expertise to contribute to both development projects and teams’ success.
- Work closely with other related developers and play a key role in ensuring that our commercial customers’ web services are technically well designed and provide smooth customer experiences in all the Nordic countries. In practice, this means that you will work in one of our cross-functional agile teams which design and align technical solutions with related systems.
- As part of our agile practices, you will engage with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and refine stories along with other developers in the team.
- Have a significant impact on topics to learn and share knowledge about. Chapter Lead will support you in planning your learning and future career development.
What do we expect from you?
Must have
- At least 3 years of experience in software development (mid or senior level).
- Deep knowledge of backend software development with C#/.Net.
- Good understanding of REST API development (.NET).
- Experience with Git environments, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with integration of third-party services via API.
- Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, or NoSQL.
- Experience with front-end development with React, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Strong debugging skills and an analytical mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex issues.
- You are passionate about development in an agile environment and contributing to software development and operations initiatives in your team.
- You don’t shy away from coaching colleagues and, helping in their professional growth and competence development makes you smile.
- Day-to-day responsibilities require a good/excellent level of English to communicate with clients and colleagues other countries
Nice to have
- Proficient in Azure Cloud, DevOps, and Git environments
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI assistants is an advantage
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
