We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Nordic IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative insurance solutions for our global and largest customers. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our applications provide seamless, high-quality experience to our users. You will work in close collaboration with developers, product owners and designers, applying your expertise in testing and problem-solving to deliver exceptional results. We’re looking for an experienced manual tester who has experience with Business Analysis or Requirement Analysis or other related fields to help us with self-service portal development.
What are you going to do?
- Ensure delivery quality by validating requirements, aligning solutions with business and technical needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, validate functionality, and identify gaps early
- Perform focused exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and unexpected behaviours; document reproducible steps and evidence
- Execute manual testing to catch UI glitches and tricky edge cases across user flows
- Support test automation by contributing test cases and working with automation specialists to maintain automated suites
- Troubleshoot with developers to reproduce and resolve defects quickly
- Proactively identify risks and suggest improvements to processes and product quality
- Bring a proactive mindset, identifying risks and improvement opportunities before they become problems
What do we expect from you?
Must have
- Several years of experience in quality engineering with hands on testing of APIs and GUIs
- Strong understanding of quality processes and testing methodologies
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms like OAuth
- Basic database knowledge and ability to write SQL queries for data investigation
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions
- Good level of Latvian and English for a day to day communication with colleagues from different countries
- Excellent communication skills and a self driven, can do attitude
- Experience in collaborating with developers, product owners and designers
Nice to have
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages
- ISTQB certification
- Hands-on knowledge and proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of insurance domain
