About the role
We are one of the key players in the Nordic region insurance field. Our IT unit takes care of insurance systems across the Baltics and Scandinavian countries. We are working with a broad scope of various in-house projects to keep our primary business growing. Furthermore, we consider ourselves Cloud citizens as our daily work revolves on top of cloud-based solutions. We keep constantly growing. That's why we are looking for an addition to our team.
We’re looking for an experienced manual tester who has experience with Business Analysis or Requirement Analysis or other related fields to help us with self-service portal development.
What are you going to do?
- Ensure high quality standards for software deliveries, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements
- Identify test scope for multiple systems
- Provide accurate estimates of test efforts needed
- Perform test planning for each iteration
- Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, ensuring test coverage is sufficient and scalable
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, validate functionality, and identify gaps early in the process
- Take full ownership of the testing process, controlling the scope, execution, and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes
- Participate in building-up test automation scope and actively suggest on changes
- Provide your expertise within Business Analysis, Requirement Analysis, Test Automation or other related fields in addition to your work as a manual tester, depending on your own interest areas
What do we expect from you?
Must have
- 4+ years of hands-on experience within software testing
- Experience of desktop, web and API testing
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies
- Proven experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and iterations
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL queries, web service testing, and test automation frameworks
- Day-to-day responsibilities require good level of English and Latvian to communicate with clients and colleagues from Latvia and other countries
- A self-organized, proactive mindset, with the ability to mentor other team members while being a reliable team player
Nice to have
- Knowledge of ADO, TeamCity, Visual studio
- Create tests in Gherkin syntaxis
- Ability to read and understand C#
- Knowledge of insurance domain
- ITSQB certification
